Today was a really fun day. 31 Pilgrims in the house. Pilgrims from all over the world. Had one pilgrim from Brazil who told me at dinner that he spent 20 years driving rally cars throughly Brazil. Once he could not do that any longer he raced sailboats up and down the coast of Brazil, and now he is walking the Camino. He actually was crying a bit he told me how important walking the Camino was to him. Of course the amount of wine that he had might also have been a factor.
Tonight we had a really large group for dinner. We ate simple soupa de ajo and Huevos con tomate which is basically marinara sauce in the bottom of a pan with eggs cooked in it. The eggs are sunny side up. It was really good.
One of the Spaniards was from North Africa. There is actually a part of North Africa that belongs to Spain. Ironically somewhat like Gibraltar is to Spain. This guy brought a hat from the army and explained all of the marking on it. Then there was lots of singing and cheering.
All in all it was a fun day and night.
