Today was a bit of a hard day. The way out of Leon is very commercial and since it is early in the season we figured that the alternative round might not be open. We walked an extra 2.5km to stay at an Albergue recommend by Rebekah Scott. Albergue Villars de Obrigo is run by a lady from Belgium named Christine. The Albergue is great. So far at 4:30 the only two people are me and Ed. That will make for a great nights sleep.
Today I slept. I actually slept almost the entire day. Needless to say it was not pretty.
Today was simply a slog. I love the Meseta but there are parts that are not my favorite. Today we walked to El Burgo Rainero about 30km. Once we got there we decided to catch the train the rest of the way to Leon. Easy Peasy and were in Leon. We head for the Benedictine Albergue to get some beds. Little did I realize that many people start their Camino from Leon. The Albergue was packed. No problem we got a coup today top bunks and went about our business. We decided to go out for dinner. Bad mistake. I got food poisoning and will spare you the details.
